As I mentioned above, we’ve been juicing for over three years now. For this post we’ve pulled a few of our favorite recipes, to show you what you can expect to get for your money when you invest in juicing your own apples. Below, you’ll find a selection of apple recipes we’ve used over that time period, and some of our favorites that have since made the jump from making a batch to bulk. The process is easy; you can even do it in your own kitchen if you don’t have a juicing machine. Here we have the following juicing cocktails to get you started. Some are basic, like apple juice cocktails; others offer more variety and taste; others, like apple chutney, are unique and made specifically to complement one another.
The Best Apple Juice Cocktails
Dry Apple Juice Cocktail
14 cups freshly squeezed apple juice
1 tablespoon raw sugar
12 teaspoon cinnamon
Combine all ingredients in a shaker, shake well, and pour over ice. Garnish with a handful of apples.
Apple juice makes a great apple chutney! Apple cider vinegar is the perfect combo of acidic and sweet flavors to give your apple cider a unique and tasty taste. This apple cider vinegar cocktail was created by a bartender at the Wild Wing Bar in San Francisco as a health supplement. Apple Cider Vinegar Mix 4 ounces fresh cider vinegar 1 teaspoon cinnamon 2 teaspoons sugar 2 teaspoons water Add all ingredients and shake until very well combined. Serve over ice with an apple wedge or a sprig of fresh mint. An apple cider brine is made from apple cider vinegar with a few tablespoons of lemon juice to balance the tartness of the cider. The idea is to allow the juice to soak into the meat before it is cooked.
